The easiester way to start learning lay down is to have the dog infront of you, sitting.
The with a treat in your hand gently pass the nose and slide the hand down and infron of the dog.
When the dogs head goes down to follow the treat so will the rest of the body and they you slide forward
to a lay down position.
If you have a pupp and just start training make sure that you don’t train sit – lay down after each other every time, because then you can have a dog that sit and more or less automatik lays down.
When the dogs have started to learn the command, add the word you want to use Lay, Ligg, Plats,
and then when slowely remove the shaping with the treat and use the treat to reward after they have layed down.
