Bucket fun, a fun time of activating and mentaly stimulate your dog. Let the dog do some thinking and problemsolving
You need
2 buckets in different size, not to small.
and a ball or some other favorite toy.
You can first start by putting the bucket on the lawn and then placing the ball inside it.
Some dogs will put their head down the bucket others will use their paws to try to get it, how they do it doesn’t matter. It’s the fact that they work towards a goal – to get the ball that is of importanse.
Then you can turn the bucket upside down and this time they don’t see the ball.
If the dog don’t show interes in it, remove the bucket so they see the ball but put it back before they take it , they have to figure out how to get to the ball.
Some dogs will try to get under the bucket with their nose, others will try to get the bucket off with their paws.
To increse the difficulties place the bucket on top of something, not to high.
The next level of difficulties are to use two bucket, one a littel larger than the other.
Place the ball in the larger bucket, and then place the smaller bucket on top of the ball.
You can start by getting the dog to get the ball out when the buckets are on the ground, and after that putting them on something.
So first they have to get the buckets of the hight with a push of some sort.
And once the buckets are on the ground it’s time to get them apart to get to the ball, nose or paws – what ever way works..
After some hard work the goal is their and with the ball in the mouth the mission is solved.
